Maternity Session FAQs
How do we reserve a slot?
To secure your slot, a non-refundable 50% advance deposit is required and the balance is due on the day of the portrait session.
Where will my session take place?
I feel the ideal time for your session is around 4-6 weeks before your due date, depending on how you are feeling, and how many babies you are expecting.
What do I wear to a maternity session?
The outfit is going to be your own, and I always recommend all my clients to pick a flowy dress for their maternity session. We will work closely together in picking out the best outfit for you.
When will my session take place?
The ideal time for your session is around 4-6 weeks before your due date, depending on how you are feeling. That would be somewhere between your 29th -35th week of pregnancy. Around this time is when the bump is big enough that it shows in pictures and not so big that you have trouble moving around or get tired easily.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
I do maternity sessions at your own residence, or a place with private access that you will arrange for.
Do we need to bring anything?
Definitely a print of your latest ultrasound, plus any cute little things you have been collecting for your upcoming baby, like tiny baby booties, a rattle, a teddy.
Can my husband and other children be included in the photos?
Yes! I love involving siblings and husbands in the photos!
How long does a session last?
Sessions will last 1 hour.
How long does it take before we can see the photos?
My usual turnaround time for digital photos is anywhere within 3-4 weeks of your session date. Prints, frames and heirloom photobooks will be delivered after this according to their different time frames, as they are outsourced.
Do you share images on social media?
I do. If you would prefer your images not to be posted on social media, that’s totally fine, please just let me know before your session.
How do we receive our order?
You will receive them via a dropbox link from where it is an easy, one-click download of all the hi-res images from your session.
